Our table set for Святий Вечір (Holy Supper), on Orthodox Christmas eve, January 6, 2010. Three-tiered kolach bread (baked by my mother) is the centerpiece and fresh pine boughs decorated with oranges, nuts, candies and straw (a symbolic reference straw in the manger) are laid across the length of the table.
